What are Space Administrators?

Space Administrators are members of a Space who have also been added to the Space’s Administrators System Group. Members of this group have access to their Space’s Administration Panel. Through the Administration Panel they can manage all aspects of their Space. Each Space in a digital workplace has its own Space Administrators System Group.

Space Administrators have Full Access to all locations within their Space.

Adding Space Administrators

Only the following users can add members to a Space’s Administrators group:

• Existing members of the Space’s Administrators System Group
• Workplace Administrators
• Enterprise Administrators

If a non-Space member gets added to a Space’s Administrators System Group they will also get added as a Space Member.

The following steps describe how to make a member a Space Administrator:

1. Navigate to the Space.
2. Click the Administration Panel cog to display its contents.
3. Select Manage Members.
4. Click the Administrators group name.
5. Enter the member’s name in the search box.
6. Select the member from the drop down results.
7. Click Update to apply this change.

Workplace and Enterprise Administrators can also add Space Administrators through the Control Panel. To add Space Administrators this way:

1. Click the Control Panel cog to display its contents.
2. Select Manage Groups.
3. Select the Space Groups tab.
4. Click the Space to expand its available groups.
5. Click the Space’s Administrators group name.
6. Enter the member’s name in the search box.
7. Select the member from the drop down results.
8. Click Update to apply this change.

Removing Space Administrators

Only the following users can remove members from a Space’s Administrators group:

• Existing members of the Space’s Administrators System Group
• Workplace Administrators
• Enterprise Administrators

A member of the Administrators group cannot remove themselves from the group.

The following steps describe how to remove a Space Administrator:

1. Navigate to the Space.
2. Click the Administration Panel cog to display its contents.
3. Select Manage Members.
4. Click the Administrators group name.
5. Click the Remove button found underneath the Member’s name.
6. Click Update to apply this change.

Workplace and Enterprise Administrators can also remove Space Administrators through the Control Panel. To remove Space Administrators this way:

1. Click the Control Panel cog to display its contents.
2. Select Manage Groups.
3. Select the Space Groups tab.
4. Click the Space to expand its available groups.
5. Click the Space’s Administrators group name.
6. Click the Remove button found underneath the Member’s name.
7. Click Update to apply this change.
