What is it
Each community has a built in, searchable member directory. It is typically found at /people.
Through it, you can search for people, access their profile information, and view group membership.
Features and functionality
You can view a list of members and click on their names to see their full Profile. Through this view you can also send a Message or a Contact Request
Hovering over a person’s profile image will show their contact card
You can search for members by name, email, bio, expertise, interests, associations and hobbies.
You can filter your results by Group membership and the first letter of last names.
You can change the order that listings are displayed. They can be sorted by first name, last name, the date they were added to the community, or by their online status.
There are some layout options under the Settings area of the Action button on your member directory. There you can pick the default setting for how members will be sorted and adjust the layout of profiles on the page.
Title view is the default and shows profile images in a grid along with the member name and a status if they have set one.
Row view organizes people into a stacked list and includes the options to send a Message and add that person as a Contact
Detailed view includes everything from the Row view, and adds member bios if they have them.
Basic view shows a compact grid of names and profile images only.
