“For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.”
― Michelle Obama, Becoming
The above quote speaks to me as a digital workplace engagement expert. Stagnation, or failing to keep pace with your organization's changing business needs is a recipe for disaster. Your organization's ability to adapt mirrors what happens in the digital workplace. The best Digital Workplace Managers expect and prepare for continuous evolution.
I had a conversation with Brad Rooke, Igloo's Senior Solutions Consultant, about this topic. With more than 25 years of experience in software consulting under his belt, Brad focuses on preparing Igloo customers for their digital evolution.
It is Brad's experience that customers, "...implement, launch, celebrate and reap the benefits of the new digital workplace. Then, once the confetti has been swept up - they are already directing their attention to a new issue, or, users are asking, 'Hey, can this software do X?'"
How many of you can relate? Have you experienced the quick decline in focus after your launch?
Tracking your business needs in a Digital Workplace Plan can keep you focused and ahead of the game, anticipating and preparing to meet the most pressing needs of your key stakeholders.
Brad goes on to explain, "it's my job to help customers identify their crucial use cases and the Igloo solutions that best suit their organization's current needs. True evolution covers the whole gamut - strategic, visual design, architecture, governance - these are the elements that turn a good digital workplace into a digital destination."
Ready to get started and want a quick tip? Brad recommends first identifying your stakeholders and identifying key outcomes to figure out your top use cases.

amazing post Brad Rooke ....it was clear at ICE this week the value customers can get out of strategic direction and planning. I know a lot of customers enjoyed their interactions with you and came out with some solid evolve based planning. Thanks for sharing to both you and Diana May
