Love this! We plant our sunflowers in two pots:
1. The social pot. Our chat feeds are really popular. They are easy entry, low stakes, and fun. We share stories of what's happening with students on site, pet pics (my dog's the cutest, FYI!), celebrity sightings, etc.
2. The knowledge pot. We store all trainings and tips for every other tech platform on Igloo. Wanna set up your Outlook email signature on day 1? Check out the wiki post on Igloo. Wanna figure out how search for a student in our student database? Find the wiki post on Igloo. Wanna learn how to read your Salesforce dashboard? Watch the 1" how-to video on Igloo. Igloo is the respository for our company knowledge, and it gets people to our community, to click, learn, and ask.
Amazing post!!! .....Sunflower strategy....or the pot strategy!
Jocelyn Flint social pot and the knowledge pot!! Love it! Great insight....thanks for sharing.
I love this Andrea Gumz-Dietrich ! Video is a great way to increase engagement and wondering how many of you use Vlogging vs Blogging? (I like this analogy ALMOST as much as your gym membership analogy!)
Love this Andrea Gumz-Dietrich!
Kudos Andrea Gumz-Dietrich ! We at Heifer love farming, so this story hits home. I hope to do more Vlogging in the future to boost both our social and knowledge pots.
Hahah Chelsey Louzeiro - I thought you might like this one...I too hope to increase my comfort and speed in Vlogging
That's awesome Andrea Gumz-Dietrich ! I love it!
We've done a few things but the most prominent is our 30 Days of Purple, which is an enterprise-wide engagement campaign that we run completely on our platform. We invite employees across the globe to participate in various activities to bring them together and foster engagement.
Excellent analogy Andrea Gumz-Dietrich. If they already have some familiarity with how to use the platform then it helps alleviate some of the pressure when they do have a business need they are trying to complete. I love sunflowers and got the chance to visit a sunflower patch for the 1st time this summer so this will be easy to remember!
Andrea Gumz-Dietrich - what an awesome tieback to a digital community. Thank you for this! Super fun to get it as a video too. I'm going to try this with a microblog for company pets.
We started using Vidyard after a great tip from Andrea Gumz-Dietrich. The videos are definitely acting as our sunflowers in the news section, bringing staff in to catch up on what else is new. And staff are finally getting more comfortable on camera – even if a few of them still run the other way when asked.
