Pin important content to the top of a channel's feed. This content will stay at the top of the feed when pinned even as newer content is published.

Considerations and caveats

Who can do this

You must have at least Edit access to content to pin it.

Content that supports being pinned

You can pin the following content types:

• Blog articles
• Forum posts

Enabling pinning

Pinning will not be available on a channel if it has not been enabled; see, Enabling and disabling pinning on Blog and Forum channels.

Pinned content in widgets

Pinned content will only appear pinned in the following widgets:

• Blog Articles widget
• Forum Topics widget

The Show pinned items layout option of these widgets controls whether pinned content is pinned in the widget.

How to pin content 

Using the Actions menu:

1. Go to the content that you want to pin.
2. Select Actions (Actions on blog articles) followed by Pin.
3. (Optional) To set when the content becomes unpinned, select This pin will expire on followed by the date using the provided calendar.
4. Select Pin.

By editing the content:

1. Go to the content that you want to pin.
2. Select Actions (Actions on blog articles) followed by Edit.
3. Select Advanced Options.
4. Under Pinning, select Pin this content.
5. (Optional) To set when the content becomes unpinned, select the Pin Expiry followed by the date using the provided calendar. 
6. Select Save changes.
