The Power of Wikis
Recently I found myself in need of a menu that had to be inserted on multiple pages across several related project spaces. Rather than rebuild the same widget on each page, I created my menu as a table in a wiki article, then embedded the article on each page via the Wiki Article widget. This saved me tons of time and gave me one place to maintain the menu which, right now, is changing frequently as we add more information to our project. It also allowed me to add custom colors and icons. That got me thinking about other repeating page elements we use across our workplace so I created a Page Elements wiki. With a little HTML and CSS know-how, you can create some pretty cool stuff!
Here's how my menu looks when it's embedded on a page:
Has anyone else done something similar with wikis?
