Following on Forums
Hi all,
We've started DEI forums for our associates to add to and encourage discussions on a variety of topics. However, it appears that when they comment or reply on a topic that it automatically opts them in to follow the topic, thus sending them notifications every time someone replies to that topic or to their comment.
I was reading more about following on a forum and found this tidbit:
Note: by default, you automatically follow anything that you post or comment on. See Subscriptions for details on how to adjust that.
However, the link doesn't work and I don't want our associates to get a notification every time they comment. We've made it clear to unfollow the forum if they don't want updates, but not everyone will do that. Also, not everyone wants to be bombarded with emails. Any solutions for this?

Short answer: head to the "subscription" area of your forum channel, change the first setting!

Hi Brittany Bendeck - here is the correct link. Basically, users can choose to opt out of auto-following any content they comment on. There is a video in the article that shows you how.
Brad Rooke another quick question, is it possible to make it so that the most recent comments on a forum topic appear at the top versus the bottom? I had one of our associates ask if this was a possibility! Thanks!
