Node.js for Igloo
Introduction
Igloo developers will be able to automate various functions in and around their Igloo workplace. Our cloud-accessible platform and RESTful APIs can be utilized by any compatible system, environment, or programming language. This article outlines and highlights the primary ways in which a developer could introduce automated workflows into their greater IT solution with Igloo.
Note: There are so many different options and possible configurations on the internet and in the cloud. For that reason, it is impossible to capture it all. If you don’t see what you’re looking for here, then you may contact Developer Support to review your specific use case.
Warning: There is no back-end, file system, or server-side access to the Igloo platform. For this reason, all forms of automation require an end-user-operated and configured server or a subscription to one of our partners that offers iPaaS services.
Node.js
A great starting point for automated workflow is using Node.js (download page for Node.js) because of its adoption and straightforward, easy-to-read JavaScript code. A lot of popular Enterprise Service Bus (ESB wiki page) frameworks utilize Node.js and offer using it as a way for organizations to quickly deploy “always on” cloud-connected (wiki page for cloud-based integration) apps.
