A guide to finding and using Solutions in your digital workplace.
Igloo's architecture model offers a range of customization, letting you build a digital workplace as wide or deep as you need, with specialized Pages, Spaces, and Channels to match your every desire. However, identifying those needs and building elements to suit them can be time-consuming, so we offer out of the box Solutions.
Solutions are advanced templates, specialized Spaces designed by experts that can be added directly to your digital workplace. We identified the most common use cases for Igloo areas and built architecture to address them, ready to be deployed into any digital workplace. Solutions are a way of making the most of your time, and ensuring that you have tested and user-friendly areas that address your business challenges.
How do they work?
Once added to your digital workplace, Solutions appear as Space Templates, and can be added as such. Once added, they include all of the Pages and Channels you need to manage them, and are ready for your members and their content. The IT Help Center contains areas focused on Q&A and assisting subject matter experts, for example, while the Governance Center is designed to hold policies and manage documents. Once a Solution is added to your digital workplace it functions exactly as a Space. Nothing there is set in stone, and your Administrators can make adjustments to suit your specific needs.
What kinds of Solutions are there?
There are all kinds of them. Solutions are divided by the various business challenge they address: Knowledge Management, Communications, Collaboration, and Culture. The Employee Handbooks and Onboarding Center are there to help bring new people into teams, and the Virtual Town Hall can provide a platform to address your organization. Use the Newsroom to centralize your announcements, and the Feedback Center to find out what challenges members are facing.
How to get Solutions
You can browse all of the available Solutions in the Igloo Marketplace, and can get there through the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner of any digital workplace. From there you'll be able to see screenshots and introductory videos, as well as arrange for a live demo with our experts. We're researching and releasing new Solutions constantly, and are always looking to learn about the specifics of your use case. Your needs are diverse, and our Solutions need to be as well.
In short, Solutions are designed to use our expertise to save you time, letting you spend it on content and configuration rather than architecture. They'll give you everything you need to skip building and move to using your Igloo
