Inclusive Language Guidelines
Hi all! I am working on drafting some inclusive language guidelines for internal communications in our organization and wanted to reach out for any tips, tricks, best practices, or guidelines that you have shared/implemented. The intended use is to inform content owners of best practices in alignment with some of our broader DEIAB strategies. We will not be doing a sweeping audit of all content based on these guidelines, but I imagine that they will invite discussion among our team members.
With language ever-evolving and there being some debate about inclusive language, I want to ensure our guidelines support an environment where it's OK to make mistakes or fail forward - and invites us to acknowledge and embrace our opportunities to learn about language together.
