Continuing our commitment to support our users’ choice of productivity and collaboration tools, Igloo will be introducing Multi-Service Federated Search. The availability of the Multi-Service Search widget will now allow users to simultaneously search through their Igloo and multiple external file repositories in the context of a project or team space. Accessing a file within a particular repository will open up the file in a new browser tab within that repository. You'll find Multi-Service Search within the integrations widget.
In addition to Igloo, the following third-party repositories are being initially supported:
Version 2.1 of Igloo Mobile is available for iOS and Android. The update, released in February, includes the ability to mark items to read later and to favorite channels.
When reviewing content in the My Feeds or My Notifications tabs, Igloo Mobile users now have the ability to mark items in their feed to be read later. This new capability allows users who are using the Igloo Mobile application to consume content on the go to mark important or lengthy content to be reviewed at a later time. This option makes it much easier to find those items that are important and ensure that you are able to give them the attention they need.
Key Features:
Mobile users require the ability to quickly access content on the go. By providing the ability to mark specific channels as favorites, users can navigate directly to a channel without needing to search or find an item from that channel in their My Feeds or My Notifications tabs.
As part of this feature, you will notice two new icons when you are in the channel view. The Follow button has been replaced with a new icon in addition to the new favorite icon which has been added. These new icons correspond to the Igloo Mobile tabs you will use to access followed or favorited content.
When you access the favorite channels tab, you will see a list of channels, clicking on a channel will take you to that channel view. This is especially useful when you do not need to be notified of all new content in a channel but want a quick and easy way to access the content on the go.
