A new design for people search

Your digital workplace has an integrated search feature that not only searches content that is shared, but also people and their expertise. You can search for people based on their first and last name, email address, and profile information. Quick Search will return up to 2 results, while Advanced Search will return up to 5 results for Related People and an option to view all if more exist.

The people search page has now been refreshed providing a more modern look and feel that is consistent with the entire search experience. Larger avatar images and expanded contact information make it easier to locate the person you’re looking for, while matches on other profile fields help you to locate important connections or find that elusive expert.

Session timeout and the application heartbeat

For security reasons, Igloo will automatically log off a user after a period of inactivity. A warning appears when the session is about to expire and the user can extend the session if they choose.

The session timeout determines the time a user can remain idle before the session is terminated, requiring the user to log in again. The default setting is 20 minutes.

To configure the session timeout, click on the cog in the user bar to access the Control Panel and Select Sign In Settings under Membership to reveal the session time out. The maximum session length is 24 hours and it can be altered in 1-minute increments.

 The application heartbeat monitor had been set to extend sessions automatically, creating a virtual default setting of 3 hours. Administrators will want to update this configuration, from 20 minutes, to maintain or enhance the login experience for their users.

Multilingual translations

An Igloo digital workplace can support a variety of languages. If multiple languages are enabled, the user can set their preferred language from the language selector that appears in the user bar. A set of new custom CSS classes make it easier to translate widget content. Contact Igloo for more information about applying these language classes.

Igloo Mobile

Version 2.0 of Igloo Mobile is available for iOS and Android. The update, released in November, includes a redesign of the feed, support for attachments on content and comments, and quick text-based filtering to help you get access to the most important updates.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed in this release:

• 7335 - WYSIWYG editor creating extra space when uploading an image.
• 7500 - Download this Folder button not available for users with read access.
• 7750 - Selecting multiple cells in a table scrolls the editor to the top of the page.
• 7933 - Pagination control removes parent query parameter from url in search page.
• 7946 - Incorrect HTTP response is incurred when changing an email address.
• 8084 - Fixed an issue with reporting on the creation of Microblogs and comments.
• 8201 - Browser session expiration not reflecting changed setting.
• 8240 - Session expiry modal prevents user from scrolling.
• 8264 - Authoring content via email fails to post.
• 8301 - Icons indicating that a list could be collapsed are showing incorrectly.
• 8409 - Add content button not appearing on some widgets.
• 8430 - Fixed an issue where a user was unable to add a source when editing a widget.
