When will support for Internet Explorer end?

Support for Internet Explorer will end on June 1, 2021. 

What does end of life mean?

Customers can continue to use their Igloo digital workplace in Internet Explorer; however, we can’t guarantee that all features will work as they would in our supported browsers. Any issues that are raised in IE will no longer be addressed as the browser is not supported. To view a list of all our supported browsers, see Supported Browsers.

Why are we making this decision?

Microsoft is ceasing support of Internet Explorer by August 17, 2021. This lack of security and functionality updates would prevent complex web apps such as ours from innovating efficiently and effectively.

What are the benefits of this decision?

Igloo is committed to innovation and creating a platform that enables engagement & collaboration. By moving away from legacy technology such as Internet Explorer, we improve Igloo’s ability to release new features and improve existing features. 

How can the impact of this change be mitigated?

Even though Internet Explorer users make up a small overall percentage of Igloo users, we recognize that this change might be significant for some organizations. 

Customers who would like assistance with the Microsoft Edge transition can utilize Microsoft’s FastTrack at no additional charge for customers with 150 or more paid Windows 10 Enterprise seats. To begin, submit a Request for Assistance through the FastTrack website

What if my enterprise line-of-business application has a dependency on a version of Internet Explorer that has reached the end of support?

To ease the migration from Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge offers Internet Explorer mode, providing backward compatibility and enabling customers to run many legacy web applications.

Are any other browsers affected?

No, Internet Explorer is the only browser affected by this end of life. Igloo will no longer support any version of Internet Explorer after June 1, 2021.
