@mentions are a way to call out a specific person in a post or comment. When you @mention someone, their profile will be linked in the comment or post and they will receive a notification via email. Prior to this release, the @mentions search results only displayed 5 results making it difficult to locate an individual, especially for organizations with a multitude of users. Now, the @mentions results have been increased to allow users to scroll through up to 50 results.
The group and space lists within the user profile provide users with the ability to identify groups or spaces they are a member of. However, as the number of groups and spaces in a digital workplace increases, these lists will become longer. In this release, users can now choose to expand or collapse these lists in the user profile, helping to reduce the amount of scrolling required on the page, and providing a cleaner UI.
The ability to export the list of members in a digital workplace enables administrators to audit the member profile fields of each user. This can be a critical requirement to ensure adherence to industry regulations as well as corporate privacy and security policies. In this release, the export capability has been enhanced to include the “Preferred Email” field. This allows admins to identify the email addresses to which notifications are being delivered, when multiple email addresses are configured for each user.
The multi-service search widget has been renamed “Unified Search”. There are no functional changes to the widget in Cycle 42.
Iconography is a fundamental part of the design language in the product. It helps to create a digital workplace that is visually engaging and easily understood by users. In this release, the footer email, link & broadcast icons have been updated to help create a more cohesive experience.
Authoring and publishing content is integral to the success of your digital workplace. In this release we have once again upgraded the WYSIWYG editor that you use to author content. There are numerous improvements and bug fixes included in this release including changes to improve pasting from other sources, improved usability and content spacing.
