New Color Bar layout option for Call to Action widget

The Call to Action (CTA) widget is one of the most commonly requested enhancements for our customers today.  CTAs provide a means for administrators to help drive traffic to the correct content in pages or spaces as well as providing more detailed navigation guidance to users.  The introduction of the Color Bar layout option provides Digital Workplace Administrators with a new display option consisting of a background image, a solid color bar at the bottom of each Call to Action and user input text.  The Color Bar layout provides yet another compelling visual option to enhance the usability of your digital workplace.

Customize the text color in the Links widget

The Links Widget is a tool for aggregating important links on a page or space. These can be links to content inside or outside of your digital workplace. In addition to system selected contrasting text colours, as a Page Administrator you can now specify the text colour of links in the Links Widget. These options make it easier than ever to achieve the right look and feel to match your branding guidelines throughout your digital workplace.

Provide a default image for Blog Articles widget

The Blog Articles Widget is used to aggregate and display articles from one or more channels on a page or space. When presenting blog articles to members, it is important that they enjoy a consistent experience throughout the page.  Since some Blog Articles may not contain an image to be displayed in the Above or Beside position within the widget, administrators will now have the ability to select a default image to be used.  This will ensure that an image is always available regardless of the content of the article and provides a more consistent visual experience for users.

Navigate to Igloo Marketplace directly from the Control Panel

The Igloo Marketplace provides customers with a single location to view the list of solutions, services and integrations developed by Igloo and our partners for extending and enhancing an Igloo Digital Workplace. Digital Workplace Administrators are now able to navigate to the Igloo Marketplace using a link located under the Resources heading in the Control Panel.  This makes it easier than ever for Digital Workplace Administrators to discover the range of options available to customize their digital workplace to meet the evolving needs of their workforce.

Enhancements to the Date Picker control

It is important to provide all digital workplace users with an enjoyable, intuitive experience.  One of the most commonly used controls is the date picker control which is used extensively throughout the digital workplace.  The date picker control has been updated to provide improved keyboard accessibility as well as making it easier to select a specific year when setting a date.  The new date picker control also provides a larger, cleaner interface making it easier to input date values throughout your digital workplace.

Bug Fixes

The following bugs have been fixed in this release:

• 3634 - Can't join a public community if it already exists
• 5188 - Pin expiration date reverting to the current date
• 6997 - Archived microblog posts prevent loading more
• 8488 - French characters not showing up correctly
• 8574 - Attendees are not being notified via e-mail when a single event of a series is updated or cancelled
• 10846- Some profile images not being displayed
• 10905 - Incorrect translations in Mandarin communities
• 11101- Setting default language for the digital workplace is not taking effect
• 11155 - Unable to delete personal dashboard
• 11176 - Updating LDAP Auth settings creates a new connection
• 11209 - Trying to publish an article with images copied from word results in long wait times - possible timeouts
• 11228 - Downloading a folder doesn't download all files
• 11334 - Content Slideshow; read more not showing when other options turned off
• 11342 - Search pulls no results with search queries with accents/characters

Known Issues

When viewing an article with attachments, some users may receive an error when they attempt to preview the attachment by clicking on the file name. Users can click the download icon to download the file and open it from their local machine.
