The Blog Widget displays articles posted to selected Blog channels. A number of new layout options have been added to the widget to help create an eye-catching display for the content you share.
Two views are available: full and compact. The full view is ideally suited for wider format applications and enables all advanced options. The compact view is designed for side columns and displays fewer options than the full view.
If images are shared in a Blog article, the widget can be set to display the images inline, beside or above the content for full view. Image display options for compact view are none (no image), beside or above. The first image embedded in the article is what is displayed in the widget.
Your digital workplace has an integrated search feature that can be accessed in a number of ways, including through the user bar and search widget.
When results from a query are generated, the number of views, likes, and comments are displayed, indicating the popularity of the content.
Results can also be filtered by content type, space, and label. A new filter option enables a user to filter by multiple content types at once, creating efficiency when completing a query.
For security reasons, Igloo will automatically log off a user after a period of inactivity. A warning appears when the session is about to expire and the user can extend the session if they choose.
The session timeout determines the time a user can remain idle before the session is terminated, requiring the user to log in again. The default setting is 20 minutes.
To configure the session timeout, click on the cog in the user bar to access the Control Panel and Select Sign In Settings under Membership to reveal the session timeout. The maximum session length is 24 hours and it can be altered in 1-minute increments.
A new administrative control has been added to enable or disable space administrators and users with full access to make content public.
To configure public sharing, click on the cog in the user bar to access the Control Panel and select Global Settings to reveal the setting. The setting cannot be changed using APIs or by inspecting the page.
Disabling the ability for space administrators and users who have full access to change the anonymous access setting does not change the current value. It simply prevents them from changing it.
The WYSIWYG editor is the primary tool used to create content. It enables you to author or reply to a thread in your digital workplace.
An upgrade to the editor enables formatting to be applied inline in bulleted and numbered lists, scales images when viewed from a page, and offers more intuitive and performant navigation.
