The slideshow widget or carousel allows multiple pieces of featured content to occupy a single, coveted space in your digital workplace.
The new Content Slideshow is a replacement for the existing slideshow widget. Pre-existing slideshows can still be viewed or edited on a page, but new instances will use the new format.
The same content types will continue to be supported, but a number of new configuration options are available: set variable or fixed height and choose a default color or layout. The new slideshow is also responsive, so you can navigate between posts using a touch-screen device.
We’ve added a new plugin to the editor, enabling users to easily incorporate gifs within their content and comments.
Administrators must enable this feature from Settings in the control panel. Click on Global Settings, scroll the page till you come to GIPHY Integration, check the box, and save changes.
Once enabled, a new GIF icon appears between the insert image and video functions in the editor. Clicking this icon brings up a search box and a visual display of trending items from GIPHY, enabling you to search a library of animated gifs.
Clicking an item in the results inserts the corresponding gif into the post at the cursor location. Embedded gifs can be manipulated like standard images (i.e., deleted, moved, and resized), and are hosted on GIPHY, so they do not count towards your community storage space.
Results are moderated with rating=PG in the API call to ensure items returned are safe for work, and include non-intrusive attribution information to GIPHY and to the gif creator, if applicable.
The Recent Activity widget displays content recently added by members within the community. Content that has been deleted will no longer appear in the widget.
Deleted content has also been removed from wiki activity when viewing a Wiki channel and recent posts when viewing a Blog article.
Deleted content will continue to be displayed in the Activity audit for a channel.
Users, with the appropriate permissions, may click the Action Button to access Activity for a particular channel. It is here where you can display the audit trail.
The Igloo Org Chart powered by Azure Active Directory provides a portal into your directory where you can view your organizational hierarchy, including managers and direct reports. The widget also provides basic profile information and job title if it is present in the directory.
The org chart functionality is accessed via the Integrations Widget and a number of new configuration options have been added:
