It's the end of the year, and we only started posting Support questions in August. That means there are plenty of questions before that are worth answering. Let's hop to them and get back to the holiday.
You can only broadcast as someone else in one circumstance, and that's when you're ghostwriting. Publishing an item as another member and attaching a broadcast on creation will send the notification as being from them, instead of from you. When saved as a draft, the item will include a Broadcast message, and you'll be able to add an author and publish it as them to send the broadcast as your co-worker, your team account, or even Santa Claus.
There are several reasons why a document might not preview, but the most common one for .PDF files is security. If an item is password protected, copy protected, encrypted, or contains any other kind of security measure to prevent opening or reproduction, it won't preview in Igloo. Someone with the power and intent to keep that document secure put those measures in place, and the platform isn't going to bypass them to show it to anyone.
Users with access to the file location will still be able to download the file and access it as normal, including accessing it through the Desktop tool, but will need to abide by the protections that you've put in place.
This comes up every holiday season. Does the Add Logo option in the Appearance area of the Control Panel support the wonderful gif version of our logo?
Yes.
That's our wrap on 2017. As always, if you've got an Igloo question, add it to the comments here, or ask a question in the Community area.
