What is it?

The Yammer Integrations widget provides a portal into your Yammer feeds which you can view and contribute to through your digital workplace.

Features and functionality

The Yammer integration widgets provide many of the features available in the Yammer web interface:

View

You can see what is posted in your Yammer feeds through the integration.

Post status updates

You can add new status updates through the widget. You can include text and @mentions in these updates.

Upload files

You can upload files from your computer into Yammer. These follow Yammer's restrictions.

Change Feed

There is a bar displaying the currently selected Feed. Clicking on it will open a listing of your other Feeds which you can select from. Any post made will share to that Feed.

Refresh feed

You can select the button in the lower-right corner of the post interface to update the feed with any changes that have happened since you last loaded the page or changed feeds.

Share posts

You can share posts to other feeds by selecting the share icon and picking another feed.

Like Posts

You can indicate that you like a post or comment by selecting the like icon. The number of likes earned is displayed as well.

Comment

You can leave a comment by selecting the comment field, entering text, and pressing Enter.

How to add a Yammer widget

Step 1: Add a widget

Add an Integrations widget to your page.

Step 2: Select Yammer

Edit the widget and select the Yammer option from the list.

Step 3: Enter the number of entries to display

In the Default Feed Size field, enter the number of entries to show

Step 4: Configure advanced options (optional)

Selecting Advanced Options will expand a list of additional features.
Default Feed ID - If you want your widget to display a specific feed, you can enter the ID here. You can find the Feed ID in the URL of any feed in the Yammer interface.
