This article is an extension to "How to get started with using Igloo API’s and creating a session with Igloo via APIs" and how to make subsequent API calls after creating a session within your digital workplace. Igloo has a wide variety of APIs that are open to developers to build all kinds of functionalities. Information about these APIs.
cookie = dict(iglooauth=SessionKey)- V1 API OR cookie = dict(iglooauth=TokenID)- V2 API url = f'{your_community_url}/.api/api.svc/the_api_endpoint' response = requests.post(url, headers={'accept': 'application/json', }, cookies=cookie)
The idea is to create a cookie, with value "iglooauth" equaling the SessionKey or the TokenID returned as a result of the create session call. Then passing that cookie into the request will give you the authorization to make that API call.
It is important to follow these steps to ensure that any integration you are building is authenticated properly and is following the development standards that Igloo has set in place. If you have any questions regarding development with the APIs, please submit a ticket to devsupport@igloosoftware.com.
