Playbook Starter Guide

Helping you get the most out of the Digital Workplace Playbook

The Playbook Starter Guide helps you learn how to use the articles, resources and tools
contained in the Digital Workplace Playbook.

What is Playbook?

Your guide for building a winning digital workplace strategy

At Igloo, we understand that building a digital workplace for your organization can be extremely difficult. There is no manual. No hidden formula or recipe for success. You might be surprised, but many of our customers are doing this for the very first time.

That's why we created the Digital Workplace Playbook, to help our customers create, implement, and manage their digital workplace strategy using a proven methodology and framework.

Playbook stages

The Playbook is organized around a proven six-stage delivery framework—one that Igloo has been cultivating over the past decade.

  1. Prep Stage: Preparing your organization for the digital transformation journey.
  2. Plan Stage: Defining business challenges, setting goals, objectives, and determining outcomes.
  3. Solution Stage: Creating a solution strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan.
  4. Implement Stage: Building your digital workplace solution.
  5. Launch Stage: Launching your digital workplace within your organization.
  6. Evolve Stage: Driving employee engagement, adoption, and the evolution of your digital workplace.

Chapters

Each stage is comprised of a collection of chapters which walk you through a variety of topics specific to that delivery stage. Also included within the chapters are a collection of Playbook Tips.

Toolkit

Each chapter is also supported by a collection of best practices and additional resources which can be found in the Toolkit section.

Getting Started

Where should you begin?

Well, that depends. Not every organization or Igloo member will use the Playbook in the same way. We recommend using it based on who you are and where you are in your digital workplace journey.

Newbies

If you're new to Igloo, (e.g. you are evaluating or are in the early stages of implementing your digital workplace solution) the best starting point is to work your way through the chapters within Stage 1:Prep

Your main focus should be on the following four stages:

  1. Prep Stage: Preparing your organization for the digital transformation journey.

  3. Solution Stage: Creating a solution strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan.
  4. Implement Stage: Building your digital workplace solution.

Veterans

If you already have a digital workplace or intranet up and running, you should focus on the last two stages of the Playbook:

  1. Launch Stage: Launching your digital workplace within your organization.
  2. Evolve Stage: Driving employee engagement, adoption, and the evolution of your digital workplace.

Resources

Regardless of where you are in your digital transformation journey, the Playbook has tools, resources, and best practices to help you at every stage. If you don't find what you are looking for, please submit your idea or question so we can help.
