Overview
This best practice provides recommendations to help mitigate common risks prior to the launch of your digital workplace solution.
Recommendation
Below are the most common risks to a successful launch:
- Your funding gets cut or delayed
- Executive sponsorship wants to change the plan
- You can’t secure the right or enough resources
- A competing project “pops up”
- The launch falls at a poor time e.g. seasonal, corporate acquisition
- You have very strong blockers in the company
- You run into some technical issues
To mitigate these risks, here are some helpful tips:
- Ensure everyone is clear is the scope and that project plans map to all scoped items
- Ensure all team members agree to the tasks in the project plan
- Ensure the structure is in place to support the project during and post implementation
- Ensure that your internal plan is aligned with Igloo’s implementation and launch plans
- Ensure there is clarity on roles and responsibilities
- Ensure there is executive sponsorship or participation
- Ensure that the appropriate technical resources are involved
