Creating naming conventions for Member Groups (BP)
Groups within a digital workplace can get unruly, especially if an organization is leveraging rooms for collaboration.
Make sure the groups are created in a format that includes context so organizations don't have to try to navigate through 1,000 "project team" groupings.
- When creating department hierarchies include the name of the department in the groupings (e.g. Technology - Cloud Security, Technology - Development)
- When creating project teams include the name of the project (e.g. Search - Leader, Search Executive Sponsor, Search - Project Team)
- Create consistent nomenclature across logical groupings so the formatting becomes muscle memory for your end users rather than an exercise in trying to decipher the difference between project members, project team, project people, etc.
- Include these grouping categories in your pre-defined templates.
