Using subscriptions effectively and with purpose (BP)
Overview
Subscriptions are a great way to notify your users when new content or updates are added to your Digital Workplace content. Administrators can create subscriptions for groups while members can create subscriptions by following content. Subscription updates are sent as email notifications. The frequency of notifications can be set to instant, daily, weekly, or monthly.
Recommendation
- Set automatic subscriptions on high-value channels (e.g. news) and content (e.g. files) within your digital workplace.
- Set subscriptions on your most important content or channels that you want your users to see first.
- Be aware of the frequencies and try not to overload your users upon launch. Daily notification is ideal.
- Be aware that your users have the ability to manage their own subscriptions. If you set too many at launch, users could end up turning them all off and missing vital information. Be selective and encourage your users to follow content that might be important to them or their roles.
