Custom colors in the editor
Digital workplace administrators can now add up to 15 custom colors to the color palette of the WYSIWYG editor. These custom colors, along with the 27 colors ordinarily available in the editor, can be used by content creators when selecting a text, background, or cell color. Adding these custom colors removes the need for content creators to manually enter brand or workplace colors each time they create content.
To accommodate this new functionality, we've renamed the Widget Styles page (found in the Presentation section of the Control Panel) to Additional Styles. In addition to this location's existing functionality, digital workplace administrators can use the Color Palette in Editor section of the Additional Styles page to add new colors to the WYSIWYG editor's color palette by entering a hex color code or by selecting a color from a color wheel.
Celebrations widget: Group filtering
When setting up the Celebrations widget, administrators and users who can edit pages and spaces can now configure the widget to only show the birthdays of users who are members of specific groups. This can be done using the new Groups filter box found at the bottom of the Content tab (available when the widget is being configured) by searching for and selecting the groups of users to show. If no groups are selected, the widget will show every birthday within the configured timeframe. This enhanced functionality gives administrators and those building pages and spaces the ability to better tailor the Celebrations widget to its location and target audience.
Deprecation of the Desktop Tool
Our support for Igloo's Desktop Tool is being deprecated as of November 12, 2021.
If you already have the tool installed, its functionality will remain in its current state. However, no further updates will be made to it, and the Igloo support team will no longer be able to assist with troubleshooting any issues relating to the tool. Igloo also cannot guarantee that it will continue to work with future Igloo releases.
We recommend using the File Manager as a replacement for the Desktop Tool.
For the original deprecation announcement, see the August 2021 Product Release.

Question: will the custom colors roll into channel colors?
Zak Longo
There are no plans at the moment to allow for channel-specific custom colors. It is an excellent idea and will submit a Product Enhancement Request in your name for future consideration.
