Our May release has arrived in your Digital Workplace. Here is what you can now explore:
Call-To-Action (CTA) widget
In this release, a new widget has been added to the carousel. Through the CTA widget, you'll be able to easily add and configure Call-To-Action buttons throughout your digital workplace, and better drive engagement. No HTML needs to be written either, just the simple drag, drop, and configure process that you're used to with our widgets. There are a wide variety of configurations can be achieved, but custom classes are not yet supported for this widget.

Multi-Service Search (MSS)
SharePoint Cloud-Hybrid Search
With this release, Multi-Service Search now supports SharePoint Cloud-Hybrid Search; an important functionality for organizations transitioning from on-prem to the cloud. Your MSS widget can now search content from both SharePoint Online and On-Prem from a single tab. Some setup is required on your end to properly configure your O365 search index. You can read more about that process in this Microsoft article.

Everything Search
Everything search is another update to the MSS' SharePoint search capabilities. This improvement allows users to search documents, files, folders, contacts, events, tasks, pages, web parts, or even complete sites. Please ensure your Multi-Service Search widget is properly configured to surface results from the desired location.
People Search Finally, there's now the ability to toggle between searching for content or people on the Igloo tab. This brings the people search function users are used to in the standard Igloo search, to the Multi-Service Search widget. Read the Multi-Service Search knowledge base article | ![]() |
Text Editor
We have further enhanced the publishing experience in our WYSIWYG text editor. Some of the highlights include improved:
- Pasting from Word for text, images, and lists
- Pasting from Outlook
- Font family detection
- Accessibility support
- Translation support

Accessibility Enhancements
We also made accessibility improvements in this release. Keyboard navigation has been optimized for the user bar, dropdowns, search, microblogs, and GIPHY integration. Creating or editing content for blogs, calendars, wikis, and forums have also received keyboard navigation improvements.
Planned Removal of Briefcase
Due to Briefcase’s low usage rate, we have decided to remove it from the platform. We will instead be focusing our efforts on improving and supporting personal file sharing integrations. On June 27th we will be removing Briefcase from the platform. Please remove any personal files you have stored in Briefcase by no later than June 27th. Igloo will not be able to retrieve lost files for users.
To ensure all users are aware of this change in advance, a banner has been added to the Briefcase page.
We recommend using cloud drives Igloo integrates with, such as OneDrive or Google Drive, and personal dashboards, where individual users can access their cloud files through our integrations. You can learn more about how to setup and use personal dashboards by reading the knowledge base article.
Bug fixes
As with every release, we squashed multiple bugs. For a list of bug fixes and for more details on this release, check out the release notes.

Is the link in the Bug Fixes correct?
Ian Roberton Thanks for pointing that out, that link should be working properly now!
Great stuff. For the CTA widget, wondering if you are considering adding additional functionality:
Thanks,
Mike
For the CTA widget, I agree with Mike, it'd be really useful to assign colour to text. There also needs to be hex value for background colour (and text colour if added).
There also seems to be some layout issues with the colour picker for the CTA widget.
Sorry - using Chrome Version 66.0.3359.139
Mike Rocco and Joanna Fulton - thanks for the feedback! We are absolutely planning to continue enhancing the CTA widget going forward. The ability to set the font colour is currently on our product backlog. I'll also take a look into hover state and background colour!
Joanna Fulton - I'll follow up with support regarding the layout issue you are reporting.
The embedly function is no longer appearing in my toolbar since this release. Anyone else having this issue?
Hi Lucas Sellyn, I'll flag that to our support team!
