Our July release has arrived in your Digital Workplace. Here is what you can now explore:
Track Opened Digital Workplace Email Notifications
| Measuring engagement is a key component to managing your digital workplace, and members may choose to consume content through email notifications. The platform now tracks when a user opens a digital workplace email notification that contains article content. The email preview count is displayed in the content’s activity log, alongside views, comments, and followers. Tracking these previews allows content creators and digital workplace managers to gain more insight into the overall engagement with digital workplace content. Note: In order to track email previews, users must enable loading of images in their email client. If images are not loaded, this activity will not be tracked. Networked Enterprise Cloning Options
A networked enterprise hub can no longer be designated as a spoke template. Any existing hubs that were previously marked as templates will no longer be able to be cloned to create new spokes. Moving forward, we recommend creating a spoke that will be explicitly used as a template for other spokes in order to ensure scalability as you expand your networked enterprise.

Optimized Profile Photo Sync
When leveraging the Igloo LDAP Synchronization Tool (ILST) or Profile Photo API endpoints, profile images will only be uploaded if it is a different image than the current one associated with a digital workplace member record.
WYSIWYG Text Editor Upgrade
The WYSIWYG text editor has been upgraded. This upgrade includes multiple bug fixes along with improvements to pasting from Microsoft Word, content deletion in tables, and overall usability.

Nice updates!
There are some display issues for "Followers" when viewing the new post metrics in a draft:
It would also be nice to have the ability to limit display of the Preview metric to authors and administrators. If Igloo's logic for presenting this is that "Tracking these previews allows content creators and digital workplace managers to gain more insight" then the display of it should be limited to those users. We've received a number of questions from employees/readers who have been confused by this new metric - it's just not helpful/relevant information for them.

Hi Lucas Sellyn, the issue that you highlighted regarding the alignment of "Followers" is expected to be resolved in our release that is targeted for this evening.
