Quick answers to some of the questions Igloo Support has received in the past month
Every month we round up some of the questions that Support gets, and answer them here.
What's this doing here?
That's not strictly a technical question, but it is an interesting one. The monthly question bag has moved from the Tips & Tricks blog to here on Product News as part of our evolving content strategy in Customer Care. We're working to consolidate content to a few Channels, to make it easier to find and search for. Now you'll find answers to product questions alongside product polls, training resources, and the release notes.
Now, product questions!
Can I link to and from my digital workplace?
Absolutely! Links in articles, comments, or widgets can go anywhere online that you need them to. Similarly, you can link to anywhere in your Igloo from external resources, though people will need to log in to view your content. Most digital workplaces use the Links widget to connect members with other cloud based services, making their Igloo the single place where they can find everything they need.
What about deep linking?
Deep linking takes members beyond the homepage of your digital workplace, directly to specific content, often directly through the authentication process. This can happen withor other notifications, or with links to your Igloo from external services. In cases like this, if a member has an active session, they'll be taken directly to the content in question. If they don't, they'll be prompted for a login, and their destination will be passed as a relay state, to make sure that once they log in, they wind up in the right place.
Use links to connect your Igloo to other services, and ensure your digital workplace is the heart of your application ecosystem.
If you have any other questions about the Igloo platform, workflows, or best practices, you can leave a comment here, or ask a question in the Community area.
