Here's what you need to know about the December Product Release.
What's included in the December Product Release?
Global setting - File Manager
The new File Manager application (beta version) allows users to browse and manage their files and folders through a new user interface that's simple and intuitive. In this release, a new global setting (available through the Control Panel) allows administrators to show (or hide) a File Manager icon in relevant areas of the digital workplace, such as areas where users view and manage files/folders or where they manage archived content. When selected, the icon allows the user to launch the File Manager from their current location in the digital workplace. If the user doesn't have the File Manager application, a message will appear letting them know how they can download the application to manage their files and folders.
Have you enabled this new setting and don't see the File Manager icon? You may need to do a "hard refresh" by holding the "Shift" key while refreshing the page.

Removal of "Sorry, comments are closed"
Administrators have the ability to turn off comments on channels and content as needed. Previously, when comments are disabled, the message "Sorry, comments are closed" appears where comments would usually be displayed. This message draws attention to an element that is not available to the user and can create a negative user experience. To avoid the negative connotation associated with this messaging, this text no longer appears for end-users when comments are disabled. Administrators will still see this message so they are aware of where comments have been disabled.
Design updates to the user interface
A couple of design updates are included in this release:
- Additional spacing above the footer within the "My to-do" page
- Resizing of the Bookmarks window
- Removal of MSN Messenger from the Profile fields
