Currently, the API v1 endpoints that retrieve object contents for a Forum Topic article, Wiki Article or Document increment the view count.  While this makes sense if you're building an integration that consumes content, it also causes problems if you're building an integration that is meant to drive users to that content.

We're excited to announce new Object Summary API endpoints that will be available in the next release (Release Calendar) that will allow your integration to view summary information about content without affecting its analytics (e.g. view counts).

We'll be posting a technical article in the next week or so to show you how to use these new API endpoints, and what you can do with them.
