Locking Profiles
We are working to make our HRIS system (Workday) talk to our Igloo. Ideally we'd like for the HRIS info to populate our people profiles, since we already ask our staff to put this type of info into Workday. Our HRIS team are looking into how we might feed from Workday to our Igloo. Our concern about this is that if don't' have 2-way data pushes and someone updates their information in our Igloo, it would then not update in Workday. Is there a way to lock our profiles, so that people would only be able to update in Workday?

Cool integration! Allowing workday to populate user profiles is an awesome idea. I personally would set this system up so that there is only ever a 1 way communication (workday to igloo) and have it sync regularly (once a week, once a day).
As of right now there is no way to lockdown a persons profile unless you added site wide css that forcefully hid their profile when they attempt to update it. This approach however is subject to change I wouldn't recommend it either.
Having the tool sync on a regular cadence allows for data to stay current and relevant even if someone updated their profile.
I hope this answers your question. You are more than welcome to open a ticket with devsupport@igloosoftware.com if you want to have further conversations on what can be done with the solutions offered above.
