Year In Review Video Ideas
Curious if anyone has any fun ideas for creating a Year In Review Video. We usually highlight key firm events and a ton of pictures of office gatherings, parties, etc. in a 4-5 min video that is shown at our firmwide meetings. I'm determined NOT to use Zoom screenshots so any ideas on how to creatively display those would be super helpful as well!
Our brainstorming thus far:
- Create a fake chat (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6Jt1ye8Jgk) using the years 2019, 2020 and 2021 chatting with each other or our individual offices or partners.
- Use Doodly or Toonly in an intro or transitions
- This year's theme: Silver linings. Yes, this year has had numerous challenges but we can (usually) find a silver lining and that's what we want to leave the audience with. We will not gloss over the challenges, however we will end with the silver linings.
- Last year's theme: Around the World (lots of good music out there to accompany this one!) where we visited each office around the globe and used an animated plane and map as the transitions.
Thanks in advance!

I am really excited to see the end result of the Silver Linings Year-End video, such a great idea after such a tumultuous year!
Christina Peschong - I LOVE these ideas. If I have to vote, it is for the Year's all chatting in a chatroom. Or better yet since we are all Zoomed out... you could have them all partake in a Zoom call.
Runner up is easily the silver linings. You could have each department make a quick 30-second video talking about what they found most challenging this year and end on what they crushed/succeeded/accomplished this year?
Whichever route or combinations you decide, there was one key takeaway from Molly Sproatt at Ice Tour that you need to use - internal actors only.
These are amazing ideas, Christina and Tom! That "World Leaders" chat killed me. :) I wonder if our team is witty enough to do something similar, LOL.
