Wellness Challenge
One of our offices is going to host a Wellness Challenge and we are looking at different ways we can host this on Igloo.
I've looked at using badges and points but this looks like it will be a very manual process. We would have to manually assign badges to people for completing tasks and then monitor everyone's progress to manually create a leaderboard. This would be okay with 30 or so employees but if we get more than 100 participants, I think this would be too hard to manage. (Note: there is an enhancement request in AHA asking for a leaderboard, if this interests anyone they could go and upvote it :) https://igloocustomercare.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CARE-I-42)
Has anyone hosted a wellness challenge on Igloo? Did you use a leaderboard and if so, did you create it manually or did you use some third party software?
Thanks,
Sarah

Long winded answer to your question that unfortunately doesn't involve automation in Igloo but may help with brainstorming:
We do an annual Wellness challenge that has 3 portions: Individual time, Collective mileage and Wellness challenges ranging from water intake, nutrition, mediation and more). Our Firm then donates to chosen organizations based on the mileage, time and number of wellness challenges completed.
Wellness: I created a MS Form that only allowed one response per person for each of the 12 wellness challenges that simply said "did you complete this challenge?" and then surfaced each on a page so they page so the page was one big grid that people could track which challenges they completed. On the back end in MS Forms we used the auto generated Excel report to track who completed each challenge.
Collective mileage: After LOTS of time and energy demoing systems we landed on Challenge Hound. We made a collective goal to travel around the world visiting each of our offices. Challenge Hound tracks this on a map and I was able to embed that map in on a page so users didn't have to navigate to Challenge Hound to see our progress. I believe they charge $1 per user. Challenge Hound does not assign mileage to HIIT workouts and a few other activities so we created workaround to account for these activities and feed them back into Challenge Hound. If that is of interest please contact me and I can explain our process that involved a bit of time from our IT dept.
Individual time: This is tracked in Challenge Hound and there is a leaderboard right there. I did not try to embed this on a page but I wonder if you could. Because we took data out of Challenge Hound to account for the non-mileage producing activities we created a process where each day we'd get the data dump from Challenge Hound, apply a formula to convert everything to mileage (this spreadsheet also included time) and then I embedded this Excel report on a page so users could see time and mileage on an individual level.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Christina Peschong thanks for sharing, this has given me some great ideas. I love the idea of travelling around the world. We have offices across Canada from Dartmouth, NS to Victoria, BC, so I'll be checking the distance between those two places and seeing if that is something we can make into a challenge. I'll post back when we figure out what we are going to do.
