Resizing Embedded Videos
Any advice for easily resizing embedded videos? I have tried to resize via HTML code, but it seems like something might be overriding my changes. This article notes that "inserted videos scale to take up the available width," but I have found that sometimes it takes up the entire width and other times it does not. Similarly, in some instances, I'd like the option to make the video smaller or larger depending on the blog or page style. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Brad Rooke - Okay, I think my issue might have been I was utilizing the Insert Video Button then. I’ll move forward by copying the embed code and adding it via code view. Thank you, Brad!

Hi Ally, when you're adjusting the code, what exactly are you adjusting? If we look at the snippet below, are you adjusting the width and height settings? If so, what are you seeing when you say it's being overridden? I've adjusted the width and height values numerous times on this code and find it quite responsive. Nite I'm using Vidyard here for the iFrame code.
width="960" height="540" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Let me know as you can, thanks!
Hi, Brad! Thank you! That is definitely helpful for videos that are embedded from within site. Is there a specific practice for embedded YouTube videos? When I try to make those smaller, they continue to take up the available width even when width & height are changed. Any suggestions? Thank you! I appreciate your help!
Ally Hecht - I did some digging on this and came up empty, other than the method I've suggested. For my part, I tested this two ways, first off my copying the embed code from YouTube and then changing the width and height values in Code View, and then by changing the width and height values in YouTube prior to copying the embed code. In both cases the video was resized and I was able to successfully play it in my test site.
