Managing Stale Content
How do you manage stale content? I don't see a verification process for articles and posts, or a way for the author or team to re verify content. I don't know of a way to find outdated content. Any pointers?

Hey David,
Great q! Have you explored archive policies? From the control panel or settings of each channel, you can set a default retention policy before archiving. Archiving keeps the content in the channels but removes it from search.
Members of the Insights program can use the Content Audit Report to filter by views, last modified, archive status, and more.
To David's point, though, is there a way to "recertify" content? IOW, suppose there's a 1-yr archive policy for content in a channel and there's an article that is 1+ yrs old but that is still valid. Is there a way to *display* a "Valid as of [checked date]" so the end user sees that, yes, it's an old article, but also knows it's still good (as opposed to merely ignored).
Hi Gina,
We recommend using the last updated date to show that validity! Most content types allow an archive policy from the last update so that would push off any auto-archiving. Even if the content is still correct, edit and then save the content to update the date in the sidebar. Training members to look for that date acts as the recertification for both them and the archive policy.
Does Postponing the auto-archive for a piece of content change the Last Updated date?
