Live action Igloo displays
To increase engagement we are looking into utilizing a few displays we have around the building to show a slideshow of live pages. We're hoping to get more visibility on posts and upcoming events and reduce the need to broadcast. Has anyone else done this, any tips or suggestions?

Hi Stephanie Rees! Thanks for posting! Digital displays around the office can get a lot of attention and your use case is a fabulous idea. The best advice I can give you with Digital Displays is to ensure the live pages stay fresh - to continually grab the attention of passersby. Katelyn Gillespie at Partners HealthCare has used digital displays to promote their Profile Completion Campaign, and they've had tremendous success.
Everyone: Do you have any suggestions for Stephanie Rees? Have you used digital displays in your office to show live pages? Your input is very much appreciated!
Cool idea, Stephanie Rees . We haven't tried to integrate our digital signage platform with Igloo yet but wonder how much effort that would be...
Andrew Jayne - Let's look into that with Rick Batchelor
Andrew Jayne we are investigating this further with a few other customers, at this time. Let's look to set up a call so we can define exactly what you are looking to achieve, and the content to be displayed.
Chris Smith this would be of interest to you as well
Roxana Lovrekovic bringing you into the conversation as well to discuss with Stephanie Rees.
We have this already in place and would be glad to share our code with you if you want.
Bob Doppel Hello! Thanks for your post! This community needs collaborators like you to really make it a success. Stephanie Rees and Andrew Jayne please post here about how your digital posts work out. Thanks!
Thanks, Diana. We have too much on our plate right now to pursue this, but will keep it in mind for the future.
Completely understand Andrew Jayne !
Bob Doppel We'd be interested in seeing that code. DM me or email me at ddomine@cbac.com. Thank you! _David
Hi Bob Doppel that would be fantastic, the farthest I've gotten on my own is a chrome browser extension that auto rotates through open tabs but that doesn't solve the refreshing issue
thank you!
You guys! You're making this Community Manager happy. This is the type of collaboration that warms my heart!
Igloo on...
Stephanie Rees - shoot me an email with some available times and I'll set up a meeting to review what we've done to see if that fits what you are trying to do. In the meantime, I'll see if my developer can package up the code. If that's possible, I'll just attach it to this thread.
Hi Stephanie Rees!
Really excited to see Lakeside is thinking of innovative ways to increase awerness and engagement! I will bring it up in my next call with Chris Blazejewicz, Judell Soulsby & Jeremy Rogers.
Thanks,
Rox
Hi All.....may have been glanced over to quickly above. Chris Smith from QL is actively building a fairly robust Live Display program for Quicken. He certainly would be worth a reach out to as well.
Agree with Diana May ...great to see these amazing discussions on here.
Me too Brian McIlravey! Chris Smith if you have screenshots - or details you'd like to share, that would be appreciated!
if anyone is interested, we were planning to show our screens on Thurs the 26th at 3:00 eastern. If that works for you, shoot me a note (bob.doppel@gtb.com) and I'll add you to the invitation. If not, and you are interested, shoot me some times and we'll see if we can make something work.
Brian McIlravey and Rick Batchelor - thanks for tagging me in here, I did miss this one on the first round. We're working on a large-scale initiative with digital signage so we can push our own content to our office TVs.
One thing we're playing with is pulling in headlines from Rockworld (the name of our Igloo site) so we can cross-promote between the two platforms. This is a manual design and creation process for now, but we may explore ways to automate down the road.
A couple screenshot examples below that would feature our Rockworld content. We launch in October, so we can share more learnings later this year if anyone's interested.
Thank you Chris Smith for including these screenshots. It certainly will be appreciated by those wanting to achieve something similar.
Bob Doppel Thanks for the invitation - I will send you a note to be included, I'd like to see how we can share what you're doing as well.
Chris Smith awesome stuff. Thanks for loading that in. Cant wait to see that live.
Bob Doppel I sent you note as well. Would love to take part.
Hi Bob Doppel , I've sent you a note to join in. Looking forward to seeing what you've put together
Stephanie Rees - invitation sent. Just in case you don't get the email (or if anyone else wants to hop on), here's the Teams meeting details. We're meeting at 3:00 eastern.

Bob Doppel Looks like I missed this! Is there anyway you can send me your source code? I'm super interested to see what you've got ! If you have a github or something that way I can fork it or clone the repo.
This is fun!
Oh btw email is hsheikhali@igloosoftware.com :)
Hey Everyone... I have been following this discussion. Great ideas!
Could you do me a small favour, could you complete your profile as it is hard to figure out what companies you are with
Nicole Stout I believe you said that this is something that someone is working on in your org too. Thought you might find the conversation interesting.

Bob Doppel Thank you so much for demonstrating your environment yesterday. Very generous of you. I loved how you created templates for articles and were able to parse that for a separate display. Once you're able to sanitize the code, please add me to your list for sending it out. ddomine@cbac.com. Many thanks!
Hello Stephanie Rees. our company actually went with a third party vendor to accomplish what you are trying to do. We work with https://www.upshow.tv/ to get a mix of internal content, social media posts, and additional entertainment (sports, weather, etc) up on our branch tvs. We give them a list of social media hash tags to pull from, what entertainment channels to display (ex. NFL, MLB, puppies), and then we add out own content (ex. reminder to complete compliance training, company wide news, memos from the CEO) and it all gets mixed together. People get excited to see their Instagram posts show up on the tv or they wait to see the puppy channel come up, and in between all that, they see the internal content that we want to share.
We are in a pilot phase with this now (about 20 branches) but folks are liking it.
Thanks Eladio Montenegro! Do you also connect directly within your Igloo Digital Workplace?
Rick Batchelor, were you hiding this discussion from me? ;-)
I'm super interested in this. BMC has a global digital signage system that we run, and I'd be interested in seeing how we can either integrate content from Igloo, or see how other people are using Igloo to run their systems. Ours is a bit more cumbersome and manual than I would like right now.
Bob Doppel, any chance I could see what you've built since I missed the 9/26 meeting?

Karen Rogers - no problem, Karen! shoot me some times that work for you and we'll get something set up. bob.doppel@gtb.com
