Internal Comms Tech Stack - SMS, WhatsApp and Digital Signage?
My fellow Igloo community managers, I'd love to know about other tech platforms and solutions you are using to communicate to your team members around the globe. We are looking into options to better reach our hourly workers, who either spend far less time on Igloo or don't have access to Igloo at all because they don't have company email.
For example:
- What SMS messaging tools do you love?
- Are there mass messaging tools (that are GDPR compliant) for WhatsApp?
- What digital signage partners do you love?
(I know there are some good mobile apps out there -- we are already talking to Igloo about SpeakAp, which is a great solution, so we're not looking for other app recommendations at the moment)
Would love to find options that integrate with or play nice with IGLOO, but open to anything that's working well for you.

We use Scala to put up digital messaging to our offices across the country. The platform makes it easy for our Communications team to curate targeted messaging to external/internal audiences, as well as segmenting playlists by language, department and region. We use QR codes (NFC also a possibility) to redirect employees to the digital workplace (or clients to our external web pages).

My workforce is primarily in-office so we are partnering with AppSpace for digital signage because of the WebEx tie-ins. However, they have some cool direct to screen streaming boxes that can be posted anywhere and a mobile app that you might find interesting.
We currently use AxisTV Signage Suite by Visix for our digital signage. This is customer-facing digital signage located around our conference center but we have been talking about placing screens in employee-only areas for targeted internal communication.
