Highlight Event Series
Is there a way within a widget or other route to highlight a specific calendar event series? I'm thinking like how you can pull out one wiki from an wiki index.
My use case is for an Onboarding Center. I host monthly "tours" of our site for new hires and would like to highlight the dates in a side column within that Onboarding center.
Thanks!

Hey Chelsey! Assuming the series isn't in its own channel to target directly, how about using the Selected Date Range strategically? One calendar widget, upcoming view, select the single date an event is on (hoping there aren't more events on the same day from that channel or you'll need to force this one first). Then you can repeat that single calendar widget approach for each month's event.
Brigid Towler It's not on its own channel, it's part of our "Workshops and WEbinars" calendar - but I guess I could put it on it's own Though, I really want it in both places so staff who need a refresher will see it too.
Thanks for this suggestion! I will think on what would work best for our use case.
Chelsey Louzeiro We have similar use cases where we would like to have a larger channel but have separate so we can control what we highlight where. We have many use cases like this, but the one that come first to mind is our home page. We pull upcoming events from across the enterprise but have criteria for what is home page worthy. And we have two separate widgets on the home page, one for enterprise events and one for training an learning opportunities that are available to everyone. So, our community managers that often have such content have two or three channels to manage local events, enterprise events and learning opportunities. This is not a great user experience because the users have to follow more than one channel to see the content from the community manager.
I haven't looked to see if there is one nor added one myself, but when I saw your post, it prompted me to think about a feature enhancement idea to add features to be able to do this. I haven't thought it out, but maybe things along the lines of pinning like a blog with the widget only showing pinned content from the calendar (and the pin should auto-expire after the event), using a label for widget criteria (again, auto-expiring), and show the content like you mentioned for wiki (I like this for some things, but I could see this getting messy with manual widget changes when events are over).
Anyway, your post got my wheels spinning this morning and I'm just thinking out loud here.
Tammy Triplett Thank you for thinking out loud here. I like the pinned content idea!
I don't have a solution for you but I LOVE the idea of an Onboarding tour! That's awesome!
